The men of the Ozieri Forestry Corps saved a specimen of Bonelli's eagle, which had landed on the ground under a tree and was no longer able to fly.
Relief efforts started in the Tula countryside.
Bonelli's eagle, which was equipped with GPS, was taken over by foresters and then transported to the Forestas Agency's Wild Fauna Recovery Center in Sassari.
Here she was entrusted to the care of the veterinarian Marco Muzzaddu.
A misadventure with a happy ending for the bird of prey. Unfortunately, the fate of other Bonelli's Eagles was different, which during this summer died the victim of electric shocks for having touched high voltage wires.
