An increasingly green and modern city , with new areas and structures capable of "expressing contemporaneity". This is what Paolo Truzzu , mayor of Cagliari close to resigning , wishes to leave as a legacy to the citizens with the new Puc. Yesterday the signing of the resolution, which prepares the ground for the administration to come.

As admitted by the mayor himself on his page, it is «an important, serious and in-depth work, which confirms what was said in the introduction: we are aiming for greenery, for urban regeneration, for mending the identity of the historic city with its sea, with a new , an extraordinary port area, livable and capable of expressing contemporaneity. We have also thought of solutions to encourage the rebirth of peripheral areas, starting from Sant'Elia, a more stadium neighbourhood, up to the wetlands of Molentargius and Santa Gilla, where we think a large naturalistic park could be created".

«We have not overlooked the housing emergency and the urban redevelopment of Pirri – continues Truzzu –. When this process is concluded - changes always take a long time - the effort we have made will be evident and we will find ourselves with an enormously richer and more attractive city."

In closing, there is no shortage of thanks to the deputy mayor Giorgio Angius and to the services «who worked on the definition of a document that has been awaited for twenty years. I hope that a serious and unprejudiced debate can develop around these proposals for the future of our city. Because Cagliari deserves it."
