The fire emergency in Sardinia does not stop.
After the difficult days of Sunday and Monday, today too – Tuesday 17 June – the interventions of the fire-fighting teams of the Island continued without stopping.
The bulletin released by the Forestry Corps reports 18 interventions in a few hours, six of which required the intervention of the regional fleet's aircraft in support of the ground teams.
Helicopters in action in particular in the municipalities of Solarussa, Sant'Andrea Frius, Bolotana (where a Canadair from Olbia also intervened).
And still aircraft in flight also in Serri, Jerzu and Villasor. In Villasor, in particular, the flames, fueled by the wind , reached to lick some farms in the locality of Su Pardu, in the countryside near the State Road 196. On site, in addition to the Forestry Corps, a helicopter and the Civil Protection teams, also the Fire Brigade, with three vehicles and seven operators.
The extinguishing and cleanup operations of the perimeter of the fires that broke out yesterday in the municipalities of Bonorva and Furtei also continued during the morning, where the ground teams operated in this case too with the support of regional air assets.
