Tomorrow's hearing, in court in Tempio Pausania, is one of the most awaited hearings (12 since the beginning of the hearing, behind closed doors) in the trial for the group sexual violence in which Ciro Grillo and three of his friends are accused Genoese, Edoardo Capitta, Francesco Corsiglia and Vittorio Lauria.

In the courtroom, as a witness, there will be one of the two Milanese students, alleged victims of the rape. But attention is also on the risk of a stoppage: the defense team of the four defendants, all accused of gang sexual violence against the two students, would be ready to do battle over the composition of the judging panel.

The issue would still concern judge Nicola Bonante , transferred to Bari but applied to Tempio Pausania where he will continue to deal with his proceedings but will not return to being part of the panel that is judging the four young people as decided by the plenum of the CSM at the beginning of September. Bonante was already in that college when he was transferred and was immediately replaced by his colleague Alessando Cossu, who took over from the hearing of 10 July last. The defenders would be willing to ask for Bonante's reinstatement to give continuity to the hearing, a request that could stop the trial pending a final decision.

The witness will be heard by the public prosecutor then by the pool of defense lawyers, Alessandro Vaccaro, Gennaro Velle, Andrea Vernazza, Enrico Grillo, Ernesto Monteverde, Mariano Mameli and Antonella Cuccureddu. The hearing will continue on Saturday morning starting at 10am.

THE STORY – On the night between 16 and 17 July 2019, the student was with her Italian-Norwegian friend, eighteen years old at the time, in the terraced house owned by the Grillo family in Porto Cervo. Here, according to what the two girls said, after an evening spent at the Billionaire, in which they had met the group of Genoese men, they were invited to spend the remaining part of the night in the Grillo house, where they were then subjected to a group sexual assault . The witness who will speak in the courtroom tomorrow would have been filmed with a cell phone while sleeping on a sofa with Ciro Grillo, Vittorio Lauria and Edoardo Capitta around her in offensive attitudes and with a clear sexual reference. The videos showing the scene, in addition to approximately 40 terabytes of photographic documentation, videos and conversations resulting from the exchange of messages between the defendants and the two friends, extrapolated from five mobile phones, were included in the trial file.
