Tragedy last night at the Peppino Sau sports field in Usini. The Usinese junior coach Antonello Campus, 53, from Sassari, died of a heart attack.
Around 8 pm, towards the end of training, Campus suddenly collapsed in the synthetic grass. The man was immediately rescued, with cardiac massages and a defibrillator, always present in the system. A few minutes later a medical ambulance arrived. The staff tried everything to revive him. But unfortunately there was nothing to be done. The coach's heart never recovered and in the end it was not possible to do anything but note his death. Among the desperation of players and managers present.
Campus leaves his wife Alessandra and his son Federico, a young and promising defender of Atletico Uri in Serie D. A great football fan, a UEFA B and C license, an appreciated youth instructor, he had started a collaboration with Usinese football a few weeks ago. as always with great enthusiasm and professionalism. His sudden and untimely death aroused deep condolences in the whole sporting environment of the province, in which Campus was highly esteemed, also for his great human qualities.
