The bodies of the three victims of the road accident last Sunday , March 17, on state road 291 between Alghero and Sassari have not yet been returned to their families, in which Chiara Urgias, aged almost 17, and her boyfriend Christian Foddai, from 20 and Antonio Luigi Murineddu, 41 years old, all from Sassari. Prosecutor Enrica Angioni has appointed the technical consultant who will carry out tests on the bodies on Thursday 21 March and, if deemed necessary, will then proceed with the autopsies. Only at the end of the investigations can the bodies be returned to the families.

The tragedy occurred around 7pm last Sunday at km 1,600 of the SS291 near Tottubella. A Mercedes, almost certainly in the process of overtaking, had hit the Fiat 600 in which the two boys were traveling towards Alghero.

Everyone was killed in the frontal collision, even the driver of the SUV. The Alghero Carabinieri are carrying out investigations while the Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation.
