Massimo Serrenti, 40, from Sanluri, is the victim of the tragic accident that occurred yesterday on State Road 131, near San Sperate, shortly after the exit for the shopping center.
Three cars were involved in the crash that occurred last night. The young worker was the worst injured, dying shortly after the violent collision. His car was completely crushed.
Only minor injuries for the other two people involved.
Ambulances arrived on the scene, along with firefighters who extricated the drivers from their vehicles. Traffic police also conducted surveys and managed traffic.
The accident reconstruction is being handled by the Highway Police, who responded to the scene to conduct surveys and manage traffic. Firefighters were also on site and worked to extricate the occupants from the vehicles involved.
For a few hours last night, the state road was closed for a few hundred meters to remove the vehicles, with traffic diverted to local roads.
Sanluri, the town where the victim lived, is in shock: "A young man, a tragedy that affects the entire community. I express my deepest sympathy to all his family," commented Mayor Alberto Urpi, who spared no criticism for the state of the 131. "It's a thicket of danger, with constant roadworks, changes in routes, and changes in direction. I hope the work is completed quickly."
