The Cagliari public prosecutor's office has closed a criminal investigation into an alleged trafficking of dangerous industrial waste between Portovesme srl and a company from Macchiareddu, Nuova Materie prime mediterranea .

Five suspects: Massimo Di Martino and the former trade unionist Giampaolo Diana on behalf of Nuova Materie prime of Assemini and Carlo Lolliri, Davide Garofalo and Marilena Moledda of Portovesme srl.

The waste from the Sulcis factory would have been used in Macchiareddu to produce plaster. A procedure contested by the Public Prosecutor's Office and which would have produced serious pollution .
