A Sunday hike on Monte Arci nearly turned into a nightmare. A couple from Capoterra got lost while trying to return to their car after visiting the S'Acqua Frida spring. The couple was immediately located by firefighters from the Ales station.

The alarm was raised in the early afternoon when the couple presumably lost their bearings and were unable to find their way back to their car. They then called the firefighters for help, who immediately responded to locate the hikers. Within about an hour, the firefighters located the couple: they were in good condition, just a little frightened, so they were escorted to their car.
