Not only sorry but strongly indignant, so much so that he wants to apologize on behalf of all the regular tour operators. The municipal councilor for Tourism of Siniscola , Stefano Grecu, intervening on the case of tourists who in recent days have complained of the treatment suffered in Fluminimaggiore, where they had rented an apartment that they said was dirty and without any basic service, dismissed the story as damaging for the tourist image of the island. The report had been published on UnioneSarda.it

"They complained that the apartment was dirty, the furniture old, no cleaning products, no sheets and towels and, worst of all, no invoice or registration to the ross-1000 and web lodgings", underlines Grecu who, in addition to covering the role of municipal administrator, he is an expert in the sector: he also has an accommodation business.

"But this is not true hospitable and welcoming Sardinia and therefore I propose, if no one has done so yet, to apologize to the gentlemen on behalf of all the professionals who work in the field of tourism and short-term rentals", continues the councilor from Siniscole , « and personally to offer them a free stay in La Caletta , in an accommodation in good standing where the services are guaranteed to offer guests a pleasant and unforgettable stay».

Grecu applauds the reaction of the unfortunate victims, who have reported the case to the police and indeed is generous with advice for tourists looking for accommodation on the web: «I also ask other unfortunate victims to proceed with this type of complaint in such a way as to limit this very unpleasant phenomenon», he concludes, «but also for those looking for a holiday home to do so in a safe and documented way so as not to incur similar cases upon their arrival in Sardinia».
