Another 15 fires today have burned hectares and hectares of land in Sardinia. Three of the largest, requiring the deployment of Forestry Corps aircraft.

The largest, still ongoing in the late afternoon, in the countryside of Loiri Porto San Paolo , where two Canadairs, the Superpuma and a helicopter departed from the Limbara base intervened. According to a provisional estimate, 50 hectares of woodland and Mediterranean scrub have already gone up in flames, with two teams from Forestas di Padru and Loiri Porto San Paolo, a team of volunteers from Olbia and a team from the Barracelli of Olbia on site.

The extinguishing operations in Ortacesus, Bau Sueddi, were concluded , where two helicopters from the bases of Villasalto and San Cosimo intervened. Several hectares of arable land, agricultural areas and uncultivated land were on fire. Two teams of volunteers were also on site, one from Forestas and one from the Fire Brigade.

A helicopter that took off from the Anela base intervened in the Tula countryside, in the Badde de Furru area , where bare pastures and uncultivated land went up in flames. The aircraft concluded the operations, and the cleanup on the ground continues with a team from Forestas and one from the Oschiri barracelli.
