For decades she has been telling the views, architecture, and landscapes of Cagliari. From today, she herself is part of that story.
The Admiralty promenade, which leads from Molo Ichnusa to Su Siccu, is officially called “Passillara Daniela Zedda”, in homage to the photographer from Cagliari who passed away two years ago.
The dedication took place this morning, together with the opening of the permanent exhibition “The Talking City”, which along the pier will tell the story of Cagliari in thirty shots by Zedda.
By scanning a QR code, you can read on your smartphone the story behind the photos and the places immortalized, from the Roman amphitheater to the port, from the Devil's Saddle to the rooftops of the Marina district. An initiative born from the collaboration between the Tyche association and the Port Authority.
The president of the AdSP Massimo Deiana, Zedda's son, Riccardo Spignesi, and the municipal councillor for culture Maria Francesca Chiappe unveiled the plaque, officially inaugurating the place that will preserve the memory and visual stories of a photographer inextricably linked to the city.
