The tourist season in Sardinia has now taken off. The same cannot be said of planes, which can also take flight, but leave some passengers confused and angry on the ground. Yesterday was a new day of delays at the Cagliari - Elmas airport with some flights even ending up overbooked : in simple words, more tickets were sold than were available.

The flight to Bologna , for example, should have left at 8.20pm, but with vehicle delays accumulated during the day, the departure was postponed more than two hours later . Also due to the fact that the aircraft in question did not have the right capacity to include all the passengers who had correctly purchased a flight. For an unknown reason, in fact, the car was changed at the last moment and the plane departing from Cagliari was smaller than expected. About ten people were denied boarding . Perhaps someone had noticed some oddity, not having been able to check in online correctly. Others had to say goodbye to friends or relatives holding a boarding pass and assigned seat that were no longer valid.

"At first I thought it was a mistake" - said Luca Zanardi, on holiday for a few days on the coast of Villasimius - " I was with a group of friends, but they only blocked me and I didn't understand why ." Smaller plane and that seat no longer exists: here's the explanation. Fortunately, there are those who miss flights even voluntarily and, thanks to some absences, the Sogaerdyn staff managed to get all the passengers placed in a corner waiting on board.

The day, however, was not the best: the delays in the evening multiplied, forcing the people present to wait long hours , often spent thrown into makeshift corners, on the stairs or on the floor due to the lack of seats for everyone. This despite the fact that, just a few days ago, the classic Air Help Score 2024 was made known, which sees Cagliari airport at the top of the national airports and 60th in the general one, for the punctuality of flights, the quality of the service and the commercial offer of the ports in terms of food and shops.
