The stop, a few weeks after the opening of the construction site, was justified firstly by the need to produce a supplementary survey on the subsoil, then by the need to subject the pines to stability tests.

Days later, however, the works on the Torregrande seafront have not resumed and the centre-left minority in the Oristano city council is asking for clarification on the issue with a question.

The first signatory Massimiliano Daga, together with colleagues Giuseppe Obinu, Maria Obinu, Francesco Federico, Efisio Sanna, Carla Della Volpe, Umberto Marcoli and Francesca Marchi, recalls that the project, financed with over 4 million euros with territorial planning funds, it was awarded in September and was expected to last twelve months.

«The relevance of the work within the broader itinerary of the vast territory of the Union of Sinis Municipalities was highlighted and even more so for the entire territory of the Province and considering the inevitable inconveniences for the residents and users of our seaside village - writes the opposition - we ask to know what reasons do not allow the continuation of the redevelopment works on the Torregrande seafront".
