Torre dei Corsari: falls from the rocks, a fisherman dies

A 71-year-old man, Luigi Piras from Gonnosfanadiga , died today in Torre dei Corsari, in the Arbus marina, while fishing. The relatives, not seeing him return, gave the alarm. The firefighters arrived at the place indicated, where he had left the car and the equipment, by helicopter and by sea, with a patrol boat, the soldiers of the Port Authority of Oristano who around 16.30 found and recovered the body, more than a kilometer and a half away from where the man would have fallen into the water. The body was transported to the port of Oristano with the Sar patrol boat of the Coast Guard where his wife and son carried out the recognition.
