There is no peace even on the beach, where anarchy seems to reign. Not even for the bathers who every day are forced to endure the incivility of some young users of Balai, the splendid beach of Porto Torres, held in check by groups of kids.

«Threats and insults, a situation of social hardship and danger that has become unsustainable». The complaint came from the Asd Snorkeling Academy, a water sports club at Balai beach. In recent days they sent an email in certified email format to the Municipality of Turrita, the local police and the Coast Guard of Porto Torres, «because the conditions experienced on the beach have become extremely dangerous for families and the elderly. Groups of rude kids, left in disarray, throw stones and sand at swimmers." We move forward amidst insults and threats. At the mercy of gangs of kids who play football among the swimmers, with balls kicked at full force, amid the smell of cannabis and constant insults to those who ask for education.

«This is the daily situation - we read in the letter - so we ask for intervention to put an end to this hell, pointing out that we have contacted the local police several times, and promptly received the reply "we are understaffed and cannot intervene" ».

The request for help becomes urgent because on many occasions, while some teachers of the ASD Snorkeling Academy were teaching their students, they were targeted by stone throwers. A sports teacher, in the eighth month of pregnancy, had to protect herself from throwing stones and sand with a swimming board. The state of affairs is made even more complicated by the presence of rubbish, cigarette butts, plastic bottles abandoned everywhere and the awareness of remaining unpunished. The "disorder" also spreads in the car parks on the coastal road in front of Scoglio Ricco, among bivouacs, barbecues and clothes hanging in the rest area.
