Five non-EU travelers were fined at Elmas airport, where they disembarked with 60 thousand euros in undeclared cash.

The officials of the Cagliari Customs Office together with the Guardia di Finanza soldiers on duty at the Cagliari airport during normal checks found the large sum, brought in violation of the regulations on currency handling.

The five non-EU citizens made the immediate payment, paying the reduced fine, equal to 5% of the amount that exceeds the permitted limit of 10 thousand euros, therefore 2,500 euros.
