They took part in a fishing trip in the sea near Serpentara, but were unable to return to their car due to the darkness of the night. Moments of fear for a 29-year-old and a 31-year-old from Cagliari who still managed to raise the alarm with their mobile phones, calling 112.

Thus the searches began with the two young people found after midnight while they were wandering aimlessly in the narrow streets of the coast. They were fine and later returned home. The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Operational Unit of the San Vito Company who arrived on site with Major Massimo Meloni, the Fire Brigade, the Foresters, the Alpine Club and volunteers were mobilized for them.

The two arrived on the Sarrabus coast, on the border between the territories of Castiadas and Villasimius. It was 8pm; they parked the car and then started fishing with a line. Before midnight they decided to return home but were unable to find the right road or the car.
