It was thanks to a comparison of genetic profiles that the Nuraminis carabinieri were able to give a name to the perpetrator of the theft of a car which occurred in Cagliari and was then taken to Medio Campidano.

During the technical-scientific investigations, the Sanluri soldiers found a belt and paper handkerchiefs in the cockpit. The Cagliari RIS had isolated genetic profiles on these objects thanks to biological samples. Having carried out comparisons at a national level, the DNA of a 46-year-old from Decimoputzu, homeless, who is currently in Uta prison, emerged.

The man was reported for receiving stolen goods.
