The volume "Il Paese dei Cuori", edited by the pediatric cardiology department of ARNAS G. Brotzu , was presented today in the Municipality building of Cagliari; spoke about the book, distributed in the libraries of schools of all levels in Sardinia, the medical director, Dr. Raimondo Pinna, the head of the department, Professor Roberto Tumbarello, together with the co-author of the book and psychologist of the same department, Dr. Sabrina Montis.

«Everything that helps the patient deserves attention – says Pinna -. It is the beginning of a journey that will be enriched with the birth of the pediatric resuscitation department. This will lead the patient to a feeling of acceptance and accompaniment».

Tumbarello, head of the pediatric cardiology department, adds: « The volume aims to make cardiology understandable to everyone, so that there is a facilitation for patients and their families to accept the therapeutic pathways . The book was received positively by patients. It meets their need to be closer in understanding medical language, which is sometimes difficult".

The co-author of the book and psychologist of the department, Sabrina Montis, explains: « The ability to communicate with patients and their families is fundamental; but so is the welcome , because the goal is to know how to welcome those who come to us with a problem and help them to better face the difficulties».
