Marilena Ibba died of asphyxiation . This is what was established by the autopsy examination carried out this morning by the coroner Roberto Demontis , on the body of the 53-year-old woman who died on Tuesday following the collapse of the house in Tiana .

But to assess whether the asphyxiated trauma is due to inhaled LPG gas or to a mechanical block that prevented the woman from breathing, and therefore the compression and dilation of the chest, it will be necessary to wait 90 days for toxicological tests .

This concludes an important part of the investigations launched by the carabinieri and coordinated by the prosecutor of Oristano Armando Mammone and the deputy prosecutor Silvia Mascia .

Yesterday the medical examination had instead attributed the death of Marilena's husband, Guglielmo Zedda , 59, to a crushing trauma .

A few minutes ago the magistrate gave the go-ahead for the return of the bodies of the two victims , who for the last time this evening will make the return journey to Tiana .

The mayor Pietro Zedda has given instructions for the preparation of the funeral home in the council chamber of the Municipality , while the funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 11 in the parish church of Sant'Elena . City mourning will also be proclaimed tomorrow.
