The Hotel Institute of Alghero for the Open Day welcomed one of its former students, now an internationally renowned chef. Simone Tondo, a former student of the school, returned to the Institute that trained him and where he took his first steps in the field of food and wine, sharing his experience with the young aspiring chefs and offering them valuable food for thought on his own professional path, studded with successes.
From Alghero, Simone Tondo landed in the kitchens of the most prestigious restaurants in Europe . With great enthusiasm and availability, he shared anecdotes and practical advice, underlining the importance of the solid foundations built during his years of study: « The foundations built here in Alghero, at Ipsar and in the boarding school, were fundamental to my success », declared the chef. He also underlined that cooking is a question of technique «but above all it is an expression of oneself».
Simone had the honor of becoming the youngest chef to receive a Michelin star in France for his bistro Ricines in Paris, an achievement that testifies to his dedication and talent.
The event ended with a lively Q&A session, during which many students showed curiosity and admiration for their former classmate who, with determination and passion, managed to emerge at an international level. A meeting that certainly inspired the new generations to pursue their dreams in the world of gastronomy.
