The Sinis sea is even more monitored. From yesterday to September 1st continuously, and on the weekend of September 7th and 8th, a Civil Protection jet ski will be present on the coast of San Giovanni di Sinis.

"This is an experimental service in addition to the lifeguard service already in place, launched thanks to a bilateral agreement between the municipal body and the Civil Protection association ProCivArci of Oristano, which guarantees the vehicle and the operator in charge of driving it - explains the mayor of Cabras Andrea Abis - The Municipality has therefore introduced the figure of an additional lifeguard in addition to those already working on the coast, so that in this late summer period, where however the presence on the beach is still significant, the new lifeguard unit can be able to operate independently from the fixed position in the tower".

The initiative is being launched for a short period, in order to calibrate its potential on the coast and study the feasibility of using the service on a stable basis during the next summer season. The service hours are the same as those of sea rescue. It will be active from Monday to Sunday, from 9 am to 7 pm.
