The Five Star Movement goes to attack the Solinas Council for a two-day event in a luxury hotel on the Costa Smeralda, the Hotel Cervo, with the theme of healthcare at its centre, financed by Ares, the regional Health Agency, with 73,200 euros.

This was reported by Ansa, which relaunched a note from the Five Star Movement: «There would be nothing to object if it were not a question of two days (20 and 21 October) paid entirely by the Region with the funds intended for training in the healthcare sector», they write group leader Alessandro Solinas and colleague Desirè Manca, announcing a question to the governor Christian Solinas and the health councilor Carlo Doria.

At a time when Sardinian healthcare is in shambles, they denounce, «the Region spends tens of thousands of euros on an event that does not seem to fit into the spending categories envisaged in the Ares Sardinia corporate training plan approved in December 2022".

For the opposition representatives, it would not be clear «in which of the training typologies listed by the Plan (interactive residential training and synchronous videoconferencing, training or distance learning), the event in question fits, considering that it appears to be of an event, with a limited number of people, not open to doctors or health workers, but only to top managers and which has all the appearances of a conference rather than a training course with consequent training credits issued to participants".

Furthermore, the agency reports, the participation of some ministers is expected: «As if that were not enough», Solinas and Manca underline again, «the conference reserved for excellent guests, in an exclusive location, sounds like a slap in the face to all patients Sardinians struggling with endless waiting lists and all the Sardinian municipalities without general practitioners, also because the title of the event is precisely "The development of primary care and socio-health integration in inland areas and smaller islands"".
