On Friday, August 1st, the book presentation "Diversity and Coexistence: The Cultural Consequences of Migration" will take place in Curcuris, in the evocative spaces of Casa Pilloni. The event will begin at 7:00 PM and will feature the author, Professor Stefano Allievi, a sociologist at the University of Padua and a columnist for Corriere della Sera-Corriere del Veneto, one of the most respected scholars on migration and multiculturalism. Simone Varisco, historian and essayist from the Migrantes Foundation, and Professor Aide Esu, sociologist at the University of Cagliari, will also participate and speak at the event.

The event is part of the "Community Festival" program, organized by the Municipality with the patronage of the Fondazione di Sardegna and the partnership of the Diocese of Ales-Terralba. It is part of the festival's annual theme, which this year focuses on the relationship between outward and return journeys. Drawing on Allievi's latest work, the meeting-debate will address the topic of migration and the related challenges facing Italy and Europe, from the perspective of the diverse cultural, identity, and religious diversity that migration brings to the attention of citizens.
