Election day (not only for the renewal of the European Parliament), yesterday in Olbia. The residents of two city neighborhoods go to the polls to elect the representatives of their districts.

With over sixty voters, a new neighborhood committee was established: in addition to those of Pittulongu, Santa Maria Orgosoledddu, the hospital area, the historic center and Isticadeddu, that of Tannaule is added. With an all-female board, president Meriana Corongiu (to be ratified in the first assembly next week), the Tannaule neighborhood committee was created to resolve the many critical issues present in the area where the Giovanni Paolo II hospital is located, led by the waste emergency.

Active since 2016, the Isticadeddu Committee has instead renewed its positions for the next three years. The neighborhood was the protagonist, in 2021, of the SiamoQ project, co-financed by the Region and created by the city associations Hub.mat and Sensibly Odv, in collaboration with the Municipality and Aspo, to encourage active mobility with a network of pedestrian paths on the model of tactical urbanism, which also involved the schools of the district and which gave it the title of first sustainable committee.
