The new Pula Gate of the Gutturu Mannu Regional Natural Park has been inaugurated
It will allow us to attract visitors by promoting alternative tourism to traditional seaside tourismThis morning the new Pula Gate of the Gutturu Mannu Regional Natural Park was inaugurated, together with the Pixina Manna Visitor Center. Located on the coastal side of Pula, this new access will allow us to attract a new type of visitor, promoting alternative tourism to traditional seaside tourism.
The Gutturu Mannu Park extends over an area that involves ten municipalities in the south-western area of Sardinia: Pula, Villa San Pietro, Siliqua, Domus de Maria, Uta, Assemini, Santadi, Capoterra, Sarroch and Teulada. The inauguration marked the beginning of two days of events and workshops, which will see the participation of elementary school students from the territories touched by the Park.
The event took place in the Polaris science park in Pula and saw the presence of various authorities, including the mayors of the municipalities involved, representatives of law enforcement agencies such as the carabinieri and police, and forestry bodies. Among the prominent figures, the mayor of Pula, Walter Cabasino, the president of the Gutturu Mannu Park, Giacomo Porcu, and the regional councilor for environmental protection, Rosanna Laconi, were also present.
This new access and the services offered aim to enhance the natural beauty of the Park, while offering job opportunities and promoting sustainable and responsible tourism. The director of the Park, Carlo Murgia, has traced the path: «Making the most evocative corners of our mountains accessible» is the main objective. He also added: «From this area the guided tours and a whole series of services will start which the Park will hand over to external entities, in order to also create employment».
