He threatened the ATP ticket inspector with a knife and was arrested . It happened yesterday on Via Tavolara in Sassari when, on the bus, a young non-EU citizen was asked to show his ticket. He was then asked to show identification and reacted by pulling out his 18 cm long weapon with a 6 mm blade. The alarm was immediately raised with the State Police, who arrived on the scene and quickly disarmed the non-EU citizen, who, however, continued to refuse to provide his personal details and was eventually arrested.
Today he was brought to court in Sassari for a validation hearing, where he was represented by attorney Sergio Porcu, facing charges of resisting a public official, disrupting a public service, and carrying a firearm. Judge Sara Pelicci, with Antonio Piras as prosecutor, confirmed the young man's arrest on the resisting arrest charge, ordering him to remain in the city and to be prohibited from leaving his home at night.
