"Sentenced Francesco Baingio Douglas Fadda to life imprisonment for the femicide of Zdenka Krejcikova". This is the request made today to the Assize Court of Sassari - president Massimo Zaniboni, alongside Gian Paolo Piana - by the prosecutor Paolo Piras against the 46-year-old Sassari accused of the murder of his 41-year-old companion of Czech origin, who died as a result of a knife wound reported in a bar in Sorso on February 15, 2020.

According to the deputy prosecutor, it was a deliberate murder aggravated by premeditation, committed with cruelty towards a person to whom the perpetrator was linked by a relationship. The accused pleaded innocent. Also contesting the crimes of resistance, torture, abusive carrying of a knife and kidnapping, Piras asked for Fadda, together with life imprisonment, daytime solitary confinement for one year, perpetual ban from public office and legal interdiction for the duration of the sentence. The civil lawyers, the lawyer Teresa Pes for the victim's mother and the lawyer Pietro Diaz for her daughters, have made claims for compensation for at least 600 thousand euros.

THE FACTS - Saturday 15 February 2020, Zdenka Krejcikova, a 41-year-old Czech national who has long since transplanted to Sorso with her twin daughters today 13, after a quarrel with her partner, she ran away from the house in via Tiziano to take refuge in the bar below the house, where he 'he had reached and, according to the accusation, wounded with a kitchen knife and then loaded her into the car with her daughters and fled to Ossi, abandoning her in agony in an apartment in via Spinoza, near the medical guard. The trial was adjourned to January 18: Fadda's defender, the lawyer Lorenzo Galisai, will speak, then the Court should retire to the council chamber to issue the sentence.
