After the sentence of 24 years of imprisonment received in the first degree, before the Court of Assizes of Appeal of Cagliari, Francesco Fenu , 25 years old from Genoni , accused of shooting Roberto Vinci , 48, on 18 August 2019, has negotiated 21 years and 3 months in prison .

The agreement for the plea bargain between his lawyers Francesco Marongiu and Luigi Porcella and the Attorney General Luigi Patronaggio was accepted by the Court presided over by Judge Massimo Poddighe .

According to the investigations, Vinci had been shot in the side by two shots as he was returning home on his bicycle after a day of work in the Genoni countryside.

Seriously injured, before exhaling his last breath he was able to indicate the name of the person in charge to the carabinieri .

Vinci's family had filed a civil action with the lawyer Alberto Curreli : the plea agreement reduces the years in prison by 33 months, but leaves the provisional amount of 60 thousand euros unchanged as an advance on compensation.
