Tragic fall on Sp2: 38-year-old motorcyclist dies
Francesco Mameli lost control at the Assemini roundabout: the crash while he was returning from the sea

A 38-year-old motorcyclist, Francesco Mameli, a waiter living in Uta, died in a road accident that occurred this evening after 7pm on the Sp 2, a short distance from the Assemini roundabout on the Statale 130.
No other vehicles were involved: Mameli, who was traveling alone and was returning from the sea, lost control of his Honda and fell heavily to the ground. The impact was fatal.
The Areus helicopter also arrived on site but the doctors' attempts to resuscitate him were unfortunately in vain.
In addition to the 118 operators, the Quartu Carabinieri, the Sestu Barracelli and the firefighters intervened.
