Cagliari will be one of the red dot cities due to high temperatures starting from Saturday. From orange, today and tomorrow, the alert of the Ministry of Health for the capital of Sardinia will go to level 3, the highest, while the entire island is crossed by a heat wave with temperatures well above average of the period.

The classification of the ministry means that the "high risk conditions have persisted for 3 or more consecutive days" and the "alert for health and social services" is issued, considering the high danger factor for the health of the population.

However, the weekend - a respite, albeit minimal, is expected for tomorrow - will only be the springboard for a period of extreme heat that will come alive in the middle of the next.

Meanwhile, today the maximum temperature recorded by certified control units comes from San Vito, in the Sarrabus, where it reached 44 degrees. The peaks were lower than yesterday in the northern areas, as the hot bubble moved to the southern and central-eastern areas.
