The opening of Tortolì airport for private jets, scheduled for today, has been postponed .

Civil aviation flights for up to 20 seats will be able to land at the Ogliastra airport only after the go-ahead from the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) .

It will take a few more days for the stamp to be stamped and it will be the seal of a very long investigation carried out by the Ogliastra industrial consortium, sole shareholder of AliArbatax, owner of the airport.

At present the runway on Basaura beach can only accommodate emergency landings .

«The opening is imminent, the last formal act is only a matter of days away - confirms Rocco Meloni , managing director of AliArbatax - We have several contacts with national and international tour operators who would like to land in Ogliastra now and have relations with us all summer long: we are negotiating with a company from the Marches, Lugano, Innsbruk and with others as well. We hope to have them as guests with us as soon as possible ».

«For this year the season has gone: the tour operators organize the summer holidays in time, even if now we have to take everything that arrives. From the next tourist season, however, things will change and our territory will be able to benefit enormously from this vehicle», underlines Franco Ammendola , president of the industrial consortium.

The Ogliastra airport, which operated from 1993 until 2011, has been closed for 12 years and in this area we want to make up for lost time.

Meanwhile, all the aeronautical coordinates for the approach and take-off from the airport have been published on the AliArbatax website and social media profiles with the relative airport tariffs.
