Work underway this morning in Cagliari , on Viale Campioni d'Italia 1969/70, where the raised pedestrian crossing had been left in the dark.

The problem was reported by some citizens, who told Unionesarda.it about the difficulties and risks of crossing that stretch without lighting .

The crossing was built after the tragedy of July 27, 2024 , when a man was hit by an electric scooter while crossing at the crosswalk with his wife and two children.

An accident that shocked the city and prompted new measures to increase safety and reduce speed on that stretch of road. Now, however, the disruption appears to be over: this morning, the city's emergency response team arrived on the scene to restore the lighting.
