The Council of Ministers , upon proposal by the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies Roberto Calderoli , examining sixteen new laws of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces, has decided to challenge the Sardinia Region Law number 9 of 9 April.
This is the measure containing the new "Provisions for the quality and safety of work, for the fight against contractual dumping, as well as for employment stability in public procurement or concession contracts performed within the region."
A law approved by the Regional Council that establishes, among other things, a regional minimum wage and introduces a minimum threshold of 9 euros for wages in procurement contracts and concessions awarded by the Region , local authorities, healthcare companies, and controlled companies.
According to the Government, however, as explained in a press release from Palazzo Chigi, "certain provisions, exceeding their statutory powers and conflicting with state competition legislation, violate Article 117, paragraph 2, letter e), of the Constitution."
The article and chapter in question are those that entrust the State with "exclusive legislation" in matters of "money, protection of savings and financial markets; protection of competition; currency system; state tax and accounting system; harmonization of public budgets; equalization of financial resources."
Since the beginning of the legislature, around fifteen laws promoted by the regional administration led by Alessandra Todde have been challenged by the Meloni government.
