The fire that devastated the islet of Santa Maria, in the protected archipelago of La Maddalena, has started again yesterday .

At first light, the Forestry Corps began clearing out the fire, which was thought to be out, with the support of the Superpuma helicopter from the Fenosu base and two light helicopters from Anela and Farcana.

But in the following hours the flames flared up again and to fight them it was necessary to send two Canadairs that took off from the Olbia base.
