The general assembly of the Autonomous Regional Forestry Union was held in Cagliari, open to all CFVA employees.

Participation was massive thanks to "the great results obtained by our union in recent years and in particular during 2023, the result of very intense and constant work", we read in a note.

The meeting was attended by « the Chief of Staff of the Presidency, Avv. Quirico Sanna , who brought greetings from President Christian Solinas, and confirmed the commitment of the Regional Council to bring the reform of the CFVA to completion, also recalling how much the The current regional government has done for the Regional Forestry Corps, from contractual recognition to the hiring of new agents and, a few days ago, the allocation to adapt the structures (Stations and BLON) to adequate logistical and operational standards".

Also present was councilor Andrea Piras, President of the 1st Commission, «who is personally making his utmost commitment to completing the reform of Law 26 of 1985, establishing the CFVA with PDL n.392. The Hon. Piras explained in detail the objectives he intends to achieve with the reform, the focal point of his institutional action which aims to recognize the work carried out with the legal/regulatory equivalence to the national police forces, recalling among other things his commitment for the recognition of the Forestry Corps as a regional police force, recently obtained with law n.9/2023".

Both «confirm their commitment to strengthen and enhance the presence of the Forestry Corps in the area to safeguard the environment of our island ».

«The meeting – concludes the note – was also an opportunity for a general summary of the activities carried out during this 2023, and a moment of frank discussion between all of us.
