With the greetings of the mayor Roberto Ragnedda and the handover to Caorle, where the next summit will take place, the G20 of the beaches has concluded which brought to Porto Cervo and Arzachena the representatives of the 26 most representative Italian seaside municipalities (among these to the capital of the Costa Smeralda, Alghero) which alone account for 17 percent of tourist movements in Italy.

THE THEMES – Three days full of discussions between the different realities of seaside tourism on the issues of sustainability, services, environmental protection with the certainty that an attractive tourist destination is first and foremost a livable city for its citizens. Themes brought to the stage of the auditorium, in the round tables moderated by the journalist Monica Leofreddi, with the contribution of trade organizations, entrepreneurs in the hotel, seaside, real estate and yachting sectors.

THE AGREEMENT – During the appointment, the agreement between the municipalities was renewed and the memorandum of understanding was signed with Enit represented by the CEO Ivana Jelinic. «In this last act we summarize the topics discussed», said Roberta Nesto, mayor of Cavallino Treporti and confirmed coordinator of the G20s network: «Confirm security, services, reception system. The mayors know that from here we start again along an important path whose first objective is the status of seaside city which, I repeat once again, was born as a solution to the problems of the resident communities".

RAGNEDDA – The mayor of Arzachena Ragnedda commented: «We are on the right track. Tourism and urban planning, coastal monitoring, technological innovation, for example, are some of the themes that intersect and must be tackled with a broad vision".

THE MINISTER - The Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè sent a video message while Salvatore Deidda, president of the Transport Commission in the Chamber, spoke on stage: "We are proud - he said - to host a national event for the first time on the island here in Arzachena of this importance. As a Government we are committed to guaranteeing services to the seaside resorts that must be absolutely guaranteed considering the extraordinary flow of people due to seasonality". Deputy Dario Giagoni, also in the audience, defined it as a starting point: "We need to avoid the risk of losing tourists to other destinations in the world".
