The former CEO of Sogaer: "Privatization is harmful to the entire region; the airport belongs to the Sardinians."
Alessio Grazietti also expressed concerns about the lack of investment: "This is how airport taxes should be lowered."Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Alessio Grazietti is a true expert on airports. A transportation engineer, he was CEO of Sogaer for ten years, starting in 2009. But he previously served as technical director of the company that manages Cagliari airport, from 1995 to 2008. Grazietti opposes the privatization of Mameli Airport, with the entry of F2i Ligantia.
Where do you want to start?
"It's clear: the Chamber of Commerce of Cagliari and Oristano, which owns 94.4% of Sogaer, cannot hand over the airport to private individuals because the joint stock company, over its three decades of existence, has been financed by its member companies. Moreover, the Region and the State have spent over €250 million since 2010."
Is the operation not to be done?
"It's not me saying this, but the Court of Auditors, for example. If the Chamber of Commerce were to take over the sole management of F2I Ligantia, also taking care of the Alghero and Olbia airports, it would be outside its jurisdiction, and by statute, this cannot happen. The sale of shares would also take place without a tender. But who said there aren't other companies interested? At the time, Fraport, a shareholder in Frankfurt, showed interest in Cagliari. Third, the non-fungibility of F2i Ligantia has not been proven, only declared."
