"Think about your family, okay?" He shouted twice. Then the gunshots, as the bandits come and go from a pickup truck that had been used as a battering ram shortly before. They have LED lights on their heads, and guns in their hands. And they shoot.

There's a video of the attack on the "Caccia-Pesca-Sport" gun shop in Sardara, which took place on the night between Friday and Saturday. It documents the tense moments of the raid by the group of four bandits who carried out the robbery and the threats directed at Isaia Steri, 79, father of Silvia, the business owner. He was awakened by the alarm system going off when the shutter was smashed.

The bandits ordered him not to intervene while they took the loot. They fired at the window. And after long, interminable minutes, they fled.

On Sunday morning, shortly after news of the raid spread, during a check of the surrounding countryside, the Barracelli police discovered the cars of the gun shop robbers, parked a short distance from the Carlo Felice turnoff for Villanovaforru. This stretch of road allows for several exits from the town. It was there that the vehicles used in the robbery were abandoned and found to be stolen: a gray Toyota SUV with license plate D2665NE and a white Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

There's currently no sign of the bandits . Meanwhile, investigations are continuing. The haul, in weapons, is believed to be substantial.
