La Rosa dei Venti in Sennariolo has been confirmed as the Best Osteria in Italy in the province of Oristano for 2027. Another Slow Food snail adorns the restaurant's logo, perched on the Santa Vittoria hill in Sennariolo.
The Slow Food Award, now in its 37th year, goes to chefs GianLuca Del Rio and Patrizia Sulas, husband and wife team, and owners of this sea-view restaurant. Fifteen years later, they continue to enchant diners and gourmets alike, expertly blending tradition and innovation with elaborate and delicious dishes from the historic Montiferru cuisine.
They received it at the prestigious OGR in Turin. The osteria is the only one in the Oristano area , and one of ten Sardinian restaurants awarded, because: "It celebrates a restaurant that, beyond the quality of the food, puts people, the territory, and the responsibility of daily choices at the center. It highlights the ancient and rich cuisine of Montiferru, with a careful selection of ingredients and an authentic experience."
Since its inception, Slow Food has honored good food at the table, local cuisine in its authentic setting, the use of quality, local products, and a warm welcome—the very ingredients that GianLuca and Patrizia cultivate, pampering and seducing guests with dishes that exude the authentic flavors of Montiferru. La Rosa dei Venti believes in quality dining, always showcasing the culinary traditions of Montiferru and Planargia, with a rich variety of vegetables, mushrooms, meats, and cheeses.
