The new interrogation of Igor Sollai, the 43-year-old currently in prison on charges of aggravated voluntary homicide and concealment of a corpse, who confessed to the murder of his wife, Francesca Deidda, 42, who disappeared from San Sperate on May 10, should end late this evening.

The woman's remains were found on July 18 in a duffel bag in the countryside between Sinnai and San Vito, near the old state road 125.

After repeatedly declaring his innocence, Sollai confessed to the crime on November 22: he killed his wife, he said in 4 hours, at the height of an argument, hitting her with a hammer while she was on the sofa. He then spoke of the subsequent phases in which he hid the body.

Today he will be asked about the motive, during the interrogation in front of the prosecutor and next to the lawyers who defend him, Carlo Demurtas and Laura Pirarba, who at 4 pm sharp showed up at the prison in Uta. The most supported hypothesis at the moment is that he did it to pocket a life insurance policy of 100 thousand euros.
