The Nuorese says no to the large wind farm between Bitti and Lula: it is a threat to the candidacy of the Sos Enettos mine to host the Einstein Telescope , the sophisticated equipment - with a billionaire investment in the area - for the study of gravitational waves.

The blades were authorized by the Draghi government on 12 October. The front of the opponents is increasingly compact: this morning dozens of mayors and municipal councils gathered at the Costume Museum in Nuoro and unanimously voted for the document read by the mayor of Lula, Mario Calia, to ask the government for the cancellation of the authorization.

"The construction of a wind farm would compromise the realization of Et", said Calia, "a research and development project that will bring thousands of skilled jobs. Sos Enattos is a site with low seismic and anthropogenic activity. these are the best conditions for the construction of the telescope. The wind farm cancels these conditions and must be stopped in every way, starting with the request for a meeting at Palazzo Chigi and for help from the Region ".

The mayor of Nuoro, Andrea Soddu, also intervened in the assembly: "We will oppose in all appropriate places for the Government to cancel this authorization", he insisted, "we are not opposed to alternative energy, but we would like to decide the place where the plants and the direct benefits that must fall on our bills. Nature has given us the competitive advantage of low anthropogenic and seismic activity, we cannot burn a future of research and development for us and for our children ".

Among the many, there was also Daniela Falconi, representing the community of Fonni: "The wind power project was imposed without any will to dialogue with the territories and with negative opinions already expressed in several locations and on several occasions", the first citizen underlined, “If this method were to pass, it would mean selling off our territory piece by piece. I hope that the message that arrives today makes all those who think that the territories should not be protagonists of the decisions that affect them reflect ”.
