This morning, the city of Porto Torres welcomed the arrival of the Costa Pacifica , the giant of the Costa fleet which landed shortly before 8am at the Asi 1 dock of the industrial port .

On board there are almost 3,700 passengers , mainly of Spanish, French but also Italian and Northern European nationality , who have already booked on board various excursions in the area.

The other passengers will be accompanied to visit the city independently using the shuttle service that will take them to the Aragonese Tower where, to take care of the welcome and provide all the useful information, the info point of the Municipal Tourist Office will be set up.

An experiment for the Turritan maritime port that faces the reception of such a large number of visitors. An opportunity for the North West port that, involving the nearby centers, will have to build a reception system capable of satisfying the needs of cruise passengers.

For local economic operators – traders, catering businesses, cultural and tourism operators – it could be an opportunity to offer tourists their products and services .
