The promenade des Anglais in Nice, the waterfront of via Roma in Cagliari. Almost a year later (it was March 27, 2023) the work began in via Roma, the new seafront took shape. The first part of Via Roma should be completely free again at the end of July: the company has already laid the paving stones for about seventy meters and after which, not before the start of summer, it will move on to work on the other stretch, the one that reaches up to at the intersection with the Largo.

Roads and buses

The intervention aims to restore the social and environmental value of the seafront, through the creation of this green promenade. Mobility is rethought in a softer key. This is why in the new configuration, already visible, the roadway along the arcades is reduced to two lanes for cars, one in each direction, and lanes intended for CTM buses.

The walk

At the same time, work is also progressing on the outdoor walk. In this phase, the workers are concentrating on the greenery (there will be more than 200 trees), at a later stage they will work on the paving which, in some sections, will also include those paving stones freed from Via Roma. In the end, three small "squares" will arise inside the large boulevard for socializing, productive activities, etc.
