Another accident in the open sea on the coasts of the Sassari province .

And another rescue by those who, in summer and beyond, lend their work to get seasonal sailors out of the water and out of trouble.

Enrico Sini , owner in Porto Palmas of a company that has the concession for the launching and hauling of boats, woke up last Sunday with the alarm of the Harbor Master's Office: "Three men in danger have reported us - recalls Sini - to some mile from the Argentiera. Their boat was sinking ”.

Together with a collaborator he gets on a raft headed offshore crossing a body of water in less than optimal conditions : “There was a 'rough sea', which means at least one and a half meters of wave”.

A race against time that reaches their goal around eight in the morning: “We saw the three people equipped with life jackets and clinging to fenders. I miss the shadow of the ten-meter boat ”. It sank in a short time, perhaps due to a leak in the hull, and ended up in the seabed .

"They were shocked and scared but luckily physically they were fine." Meanwhile, the fire brigade helicopter is also activated but arrives when the "castaways" have already arrived in Porto Palmas. The latter now had the task of recovering the boat : “Today the dives were already underway to try to find it. It won't be easy, the current moves them easily ”. The inevitable thought goes to an upcoming rescue: “I certainly do not hope there is another dangerous situation. But if it happens we are ready ”.
