There are just a few days left until the Corsa degli Scalzi and the Municipality of Cabras is working to ensure safety along the route , both for the public and for the 900 runners taking part in the event.

In via Tharros, in Cabras, a demarcation strip with poles and chains is planned on both sides of the street . They will be positioned starting from the height of the Marongiu civic museum, up to the runners' arrival area at number 114. The chains, as stated in the municipal ordinance issued by the local police, cannot be climbed over in any way by the public watching the race. But that's not all. Also in Cabras, a pedestrian parking ban is planned on Sunday 1st September from 6pm until the end of the procession, in the area in front of via Tola, to allow the passage of police vehicles engaged in the escort service of the Corsa degli Scalzi.

Better to be careful where you park your car. Parking is prohibited with forced removal of all categories of vehicles in private areas without fences in via Tharros on August 31st from 5 am until the start of the race. But also on Sunday September 1st from 3 pm until the need ceases.
