The African anticyclone is returning to Sardinia, and in the next few hours the mercury will begin to rise, reaching 28-32 degrees on the coast, up to 35-36 degrees in the inland plains, with peaks of 38-40 degrees in some areas.
Added to this is moderate breeze ventilation that will increase humidity with perceived temperatures that will be higher than those recorded.
The weather forecast for the coming days comes from the Decimomannu Air Force Base weather office. "The presence of the anticyclone over the western Mediterranean will bring stable conditions until midweek, with clear skies and few clouds," the experts report. "The trend, from Monday to Wednesday, is for temperatures to gradually rise."
A scorching mid-August week is therefore expected. For now, Cagliari is not among the cities with a red flag in the Ministry of Health's bulletin valid until Thursday the 7th, when highs of 32 degrees (33 degrees felt at 2 pm) are expected.
