No place to proceed for the three citizens of Pakistani origin accused of being part of a terrorist cell , based in Olbia, which took part in the organization of several Islamic attacks in Pakistan and allegedly raised funds in Sardinia to support extremist groups .

The Assize Court of Sassari, presided over by Judge Mauro Pusceddu, has ruled that there will be no trial against the former imam of Zingonia, in the province of Bergamo, Muhammad Hafiz Zulkifal, of Muhammad Siddique and of Alì Zubair, because the three have already been judged for the same facts.

The defendants were part of the criminal proceedings which ended in April 2019 with the acquittal of five other accused of massacre and eight others for having participated in various ways in the establishment of an international terrorist organization. The sentence had always been issued by the Assize Court of Sassari, which had overturned the position of Muhammad Hafiz Zulkifal, Muhammad Siddique and Alì Zubair, returning the documents to the prosecutor for the formulation of a new charge. For the Court, although the three were not part of the terrorist association for which they were on trial, there were "valid sources of evidence relating to a hypothesized activity of financing, management and connection with armed groups operating abroad dedicated to the design and implementation of guerrilla warfare and acts of terrorism ".

The charge was not changed at the new trial by the deputy prosecutor of the Dda of Cagliari, Danilo Tronci, and therefore the judges, accepting the objection formulated by the defense lawyer of Zulkifal, Franco Villa, declared the non-place to proceed based on article 529 of the criminal procedure code.
