The trial for the murder of Davide Unida, who died in July 2023, has just begun at the Tempio Palace of Justice. Before the hearing began, the accused, Fabio Malu, was taken by the Carabinieri, arrested and taken to Bancali prison, on the orders of the investigating judge Alessandro Cossu
The reason for the arrest is the violation of the precautionary measure of the obligation to remain in Tempio . Malu could not go out at night, instead he was identified by the carabinieri in the evening hours. The thirty-two-year-old, accused of the crime of voluntary homicide, has always maintained that he defended himself.
The proceedings opened last November 28, with the events that occurred late in the evening of July 8, 2023. Malu, according to the Tempio Prosecutor's Office, allegedly hit Unida, causing him a fatal head injury. And he allegedly did it with the handle of a vacuum cleaner .
